Junior Football at Queens Park AFC

Queens Park AFC has a strong junior club, ranging from 5 to 8 years old. The club welcomes all new and existing players to register for the 2023 season.

For the young ones, Queens Park AFC runs two NZ Football accredited sessions. First Kicks is the youngest group, aged 5 to 6 years on Mondays 4-5pm, and Fun Football is aimed at 7 to 8 year olds, on Saturdays starting at 9:30am at Turnbull Thompson Park. It is full of excellent skills and fun games, and run by trained coaches from within the club. 

Players will be provided with a playing shirt and shorts, but will need to provide their own socks and shinpads.  Official Queens Park AFC apparel can be purchased from our online shop if desired (optional).

Registration Fees for 2024

We try to keep our pricing as low as possible as we know that pricing can be a big factor in your child playing.  We are a non-profit organisation and our main focus is getting as many kids as possible playing the awesome game of football.

First Kicks (5 and 6 year olds): $85
Fun Football (7 to 12 year olds): $100

We understand;

  • That football talent exists across our Federation and we want to ensure opportunities are provided to players who otherwise may miss out.

  • The need for kids to “fall in love” with football and not to be denied opportunities to do so through no fault of their own.

  • The health and well-being advantages of having thousands of healthy active football kids.

Coaches have a profoundly positive effect on young people. If you enjoy working with people and want to make a difference in young people’s lives, we would like to have you as one of our coaches.
